Join our team as a Line Technician, where you’ll be at the forefront of line operations, driving performance, reducing costs, and ensuring top-quality product delivery. In this role, you’ll be leading the afternoon shift, overseeing line setups, monitoring performance, and collaborating with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Line Setup & Performance
Set up and ensure packing lines are running smoothly and meeting production requirements.
Verify cleanliness and readiness of lines and equipment.
Monitor and adjust operations to meet daily production targets efficiently and safely.
Collaboration with Production Team
Work closely with operators to maximize line efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Machine Maintenance & Reporting
Report any machine malfunctions or deviations immediately.
Perform routine maintenance in collaboration with engineers and ensure tooling is maintained per guidelines.
Operational Improvements
Work with the Production Manager to identify and implement improvements that exceed production targets.
Safety & Cleanliness
Ensure a safe, clean work environment at all times and report any safety hazards or incidents.
Health & Safety Compliance
Adhere to all company policies and participate in required health and safety training to maintain a safe work environment.
Additional Duties
Take on additional tasks as needed to support production goals.
Additional Key Tasks
Perform setup, adjustments, and production runs on sanding and cut-to-size equipment while maintaining product quality.
Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot issues.
Read work orders, communicate with the team, and adjust settings based on product specifications.
Measure completed materials to verify product conformance using gauges and other tools.
Perform test runs and adjust settings to ensure products meet standards.
To be successful, you’ll need
Sound computer skills and experience with automated control systems (CNC / PLC).
Experience operating machinery and a mechanical mindset.
A focus on safety and adherence to safety procedures.
Experience in the manufacturing industry (advantageous).
Reliability and the ability to work rotating shifts.
A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
