Finance Specialist (Analysis)

We are currently recruiting for 2 Finance Specialists to join us based at either our Auckland CBD office or our Auckland Airport Campus.
In our Finance team, your work will influence leaders across the business. Qualifications
- Strong reporting and analytical skills that enable you to understand and communicate trends with key stakeholders.
- Strong communicator who can form positive relationships that support collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to think outside the box, challenge the status quo and strive for continuous improvement.
- 3‑5 years of commercial and analytical experience.
- Expertise in MS Excel combined with data analytics skills to build timely and accurate reports contributing to the wider Finance team.
- Knowledge of Power BI & Power Pivot is preferred but not required.
- CA qualification or being partially through your CA would be beneficial.
- Strong financial and commercial analysis skills to support effective business decision‑making.
- Experience assisting with month‑end results, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring timely and accurate information for management.
- Ability to analyse, measure and monitor risks associated with transactions, minimizing the risk of revenue loss to Air New Zealand.
- Skill in identifying and documenting process improvements to meet business objectives and customer standards.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong commercial relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with processes, regulations and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust models, analysis and reporting to ensure the provision of timely, accurate and meaningful information and interpretation for management.Extract, manipulate, analyse and present sound financial and commercial analysis and support to managers to enable effective business decision‑making.Assist with the preparation of month‑end results, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring the provision of timely, accurate and meaningful information and interpretation for management.Analyse, measure and monitor the risks associated with transactions, minimizing the risk of exposure to revenue loss for Air New Zealand.Identify and document areas of process improvement to ensure business objectives and customer standards can be met.Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring processes are followed, regulations complied with and customer service standards met.Why you should work for us
