About the Role
This role provides customer-focused services and community-led support which responds to the diverse needs of the community, and increases the awareness of, and engagement with community hub services including library. Right now, we have a great permanent opportunity at Wainuiomata Neighbourhood Hub - working the following shift pattern :
Tuesday to Saturday :
You will be working at the Wainuiomata Neighbourhood Hub. However, you may be required to work in one of our other Lower Hutt based Hubs on occasion.
About You
We are seeking an innovative, community-focused librarian with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional library programmes and hub services. You will bring an outstanding commitment to customer service and a strong community-led development ethos, working collaboratively with people of all ages and backgrounds across our diverse community.
Ideally, you will hold a library qualification or have experience in a related field such as community library services, customer engagement, readers’ advisory, programme development and delivery & digital literacy. Leadership experience, knowledge of adult and children’s learning, literacy initiatives, and experience working with Rangatahi will be highly valued.
