WSP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director Architecture in Wellington to lead our architectural projects, manage client relationships, and support business growth.
- Provide overall direction and leadership for successfully securing architecture projects.
- Undertake client relationship management and business growth for the architecture sector.
- Design leadership and overall project accountability as Project Director for selected commissions.
- Work collaboratively in developing long‑term strategic and annual business plans in line with the architecture and WSP’s strategic objectives.
- Support the Architecture management team in actively promoting WSP capability where opportunities exist, aiming to create and extend income streams for the wider WSP team.
- Identify market opportunities and undertake marketing initiatives to develop new and existing business markets and promote WSP services to internal and external clients.
- Lead preparation of bids and proposals.
- Complete project profiles to support future work‑winning opportunities.
- Develop a complete scope definition, identify changes to scope and implement actions to meet project objectives, and ensure communication to the project team.
- Communicate critical project information (briefs, deadlines, progress and client feedback) in an effective and timely manner.
- Ensure that project‑related quality assurance processes are carried out in a cost‑effective manner, including project technical reviews, technical verifications, and approval to release.
- Complete monthly financial management processes in a timely manner, including billing, monthly financial and progress reports, change management, and monitoring project spend.
About you
