In this role, you will :
- Maintain, follow and complete the Month End Timetable checklist, ensuring it captures the steps to close the General Ledger with completeness and timeliness across all legal entities on a monthly basis
- Own the General Ledger, understand our accounting entries, ensure that entries in the Chart of Accounts are accurate and that transactions map to the correct location, as well as ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards / IFRS and CyberCX Policies
- Assist the Finance team and broader business to correctly enter and allocate transactions in the General Ledger and ensure transactions map to the correct location in the Chart of Accounts
- Provide analysis and commentary regarding material items in the General Ledger
- Maintain and document accounting procedures & policies
- Complete monthly accounting tasks including maintaining the fixed-asset register, completing revaluations, eliminations, booking provisions, accruals, prepayments, WIP and deferred revenue
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the balance sheet is clear of issue and error and that all balances are adequately supported
- Complete the BAS and FBT returns, ensuring accurate recording of transactions beneath these returns
- Support Payroll with tax compliance as required (PAYG, Payroll tax, etc)
About you :
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or related fieldMembership of professional accounting and / or financial bodies preferredAt least 5 years of relevant accounting experience – including exposure to activities such as general accounting, financial analysis, and reportsAbility to organise and control large accounting systemsSound knowledge of organisational accounting proceduresWell‑developed prioritisation and time management skills, and ability to work to deadlinesStrong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and quality in workStrong communication skills, ability to elevate concerns and work with others to resolve problemsMust possess a high level of discretion for handling confidential information and monetary transactionsGreat advantages for great people
