Data Analytics Manager - Audit and Assurance

We are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist for a Manager-level position within our Audit and Assurance team. This role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in advanced analytics and programming.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Python, R, SAS, and SQL , along with advanced analytics skills in NLP, sentiment analysis, clustering, and classification. You’ll lead the development of scripts and ensure the quality of analytics work delivered by the business.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical ability, guiding projects and mentoring team members. You’ll translate business needs into data-driven solutions, review outputs for accuracy, and drive innovation in analytics practices within the team

Transitioning to a more data analytics driven function, our Audit and Assurance team continue to provide independent, objective and strategic assurance over what matters, the protection of our customers and business.

• Leading delivery of Audit / projects for actionable insight and make strategic and tactical recommendations that highlight gaps and opportunities within ASB.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand remediation requirements, regulatory expectations, and success criteria.
• Translate business remediation needs into data-driven analytical solutions and actionable insights.
• Perform advanced analysis and design, develop, and implement models / solutions to help answer questions.
• Perform post- remediation validation testing using independent datasets to ensure corrective actions are effective.
• Support the creation of Continuous monitoring dashboards, scripts and exception-based reports to support real-time Auditing.
• Exhibit sound understanding of audit theories, principles, and practices.
• Develops clear and well-structured analytical and test planning approaches to analyse large datasets and databases.
• Design and implement NLP driven solutions to analyse unstructured data and identify anomalies / indicators through sentiment, Cluster, classification analysis.
• Uses research, analytics, and a strong evidence base to inform decision making for Audit and business processes
• Stay updated on emerging AI, Data analytics, and Audit practices to drive innovation.
• Champion the use of AI / ML along with new tools and techniques to solve business problems.
• Use data profiling and anomaly detection to identify data quality issues, gaps, or inconsistencies driving r emediation
