About the Role
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in the financial oversight and sustainability of our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause. Note : It would be helpful to include a link to your SEEK or LinkedIn profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial management and operations of the organisation, including payroll, expense claims and Xero reconciliation
- Coordinate and work with our Treasury admin support team member (another volunteer)
- Financial reporting - prepare budgets and financial statements on a quarterly basis
- Present financial reports at Board meetings (held monthly)
- Support the development of funding applications, accountability and financial planning
- Create and maintain protocols and processes for financial accountability
- Ensure compliance with financial and charitable regulations
- Provide support to auditors for our annual audit (around July)
Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field preferredExperience in accounting, finance, or a similar fieldFamiliarity with financial software (e.g., Xero or similar)A good understanding of financial governance, reporting and forecastingExcellent communication and integrityPrevious board or management experience (preferred but not essential)Why Volunteer With Us?
