About the Role | Mo tenei turanga
This is an opportunity to be at the core of Pharmac's operations and help build a new approach to medical device purchasing and funding in the public health system.
With clear direction from our Ministers, Pharmac is leading the evaluation and procurment of medical devices that have a therapeutic impact on patients, and putting in place commercial arrangements with suppliers for medical devices for use by Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora.
In this rewarding and challenging role, you would have responsibility for several categories, securing new supplier agreements for relevant medical devices and contributing to long-term market management in those areas. You'll also contribute to our transition plan as we work with Health NZ on transferring over some of our categories.
The role would see you engaging and seeking advice from a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical, technical and operational experts within Health NZ, industry representative bodies and patient advocacy groups.

Your high level of analytical ability and problem solving will be critical when presenting clear business cases derived from complex scientific, clinical, and financial data. Your ability to work with ease with clinicians and senior stakeholders will be essential to your success within this role.

The salary range for this role is $108,920 - $147,098 total remuneration, inclusive of 3% KiwiSaver Employer contribution, with starting salaries typically up to the mid-point, depending on the knowledge, skills, and experience the candidate brings to the role.
