Job Overview :
The ICT Project Manager will oversee the planning, development, integration, and testing of a centralised, AI-enabled logistics platform.
This role ensures seamless alignment across freight management, warehousing, customs, customer communication, and last-mile delivery operations.
You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with global vendors, and deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions that support the company's long-term strategic growth.
This position requires strong project leadership, technical understanding of logistics systems, and the ability to drive innovation through automation and AI technologies.
Job Description :
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
1. ICT System Development & Integration
Lead the end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of an integrated ICT platform, including CRM, customer communication, and ticketing systems.
Oversee system integration across freight, warehousing, inventory, delivery management, and customs processing systems.
Manage digital mapping, real-time logistics tracking, and automation of customs clearance workflows.
Work closely with internal teams and external software vendors to ensure compatibility, process automation, and system scalability.
2. AI Integration & Business Process Automation
Collaborate with AI engineers to design and implement machine learning solutions that optimise operations, enhance customer communication, and improve predictive logistics capabilities.
Define, test, and deploy automated workflows to support real-time decision-making, exception management, and operational efficiency.
Ensure cybersecurity protocols, system reliability, and data protection standards are incorporated into all AI-related features.
3. Technology Innovation & Research
Conduct research and feasibility assessments on emerging logistics technologies such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, and drone delivery.
Lead pilot programs, prototype development, and cost-benefit analyses for advanced logistics innovations.
Recommend strategic technology adoption to support long-term competitive advantage.
4. Market & Operational Feasibility Studies
Perform market research, competitor benchmarking, and global trend analysis for digital logistics, automation, and AI solutions.
Develop business cases, investment proposals, and cost models for technology integration projects.
Advise leadership on strategic technology planning and innovation opportunities.
5. Project Management & Governance
Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and resource requirements for all ICT initiatives.
Lead project execution using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
Monitor progress, manage risks, maintain compliance, and ensure all deliverables meet operational and cybersecurity standards.
Oversee comprehensive documentation, including specifications, testing reports, and user manuals.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Training
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business units, logistics operations, and external partners.
Facilitate communication, gather requirements, and ensure alignment on system goals and deliverables.
Develop user training programs, change management strategies, and onboarding materials for new digital tools.
7. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Establish KPIs to evaluate system performance post-implementation.
Use data analytics and operational insights to refine system functionality and optimise end-to-end supply chain processes.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, speed, and user satisfaction.
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of ICT project management experience, ideally within software engineering, software programme leadership experiences.
Proven experience in system integration, digital transformation, and AI-driven technology projects.
Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and software testing principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects on time and within budget.
