Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs? GSL Education are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Christchurch .

As a Special Educational Needs TA , you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and emotional or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and individual support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in the implementation of personalised education and behaviour plans.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Support teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
• Record and report progress to teachers and SENCOs as needed.
