At Hospice West Auckland, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional, free specialist palliative care services to our patients, their families, and caregivers. Our Fundraising team plays a vital role in making this possible. We are seeking a Fundraising Manager to lead and support our Fundraising team, cultivating and growing donor and community relationships so that Hospice West Auckland can continue to care for our community well into the future.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing strategies to identify, grow, and sustain individual donor development.
- Building and maintaining strong business and corporate relationships to generate donations, sponsorships, and goods‑in‑kind support.
- Managing and growing support from trusts and foundations.
- Developing and leading community and peer‑to‑peer fundraising initiatives, including events and partnerships.
- Overseeing fundraising campaigns and appeals, such as the Christmas Stars campaign and Long Lunches.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and direction to the Fundraising team.
- Monitoring and evaluating fundraising performance using the CRM system and other data insights.
Qualifications
A proven and successful record in fundraising or senior sales roles.Previous experience managing and leading a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to prepare and deliver proposals, funding applications, and reports.Financial and budget management experience.Strong computer literacy in a Microsoft 365 environment.Experience using a CRM or similar database.A current, full New Zealand driver’s licence.Benefits
This is a busy, full‑time position, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required to attend community and fundraising events. We offer a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and free on‑street parking at our Te Atatū Peninsula location.
