About the role

We are looking for an exceptional intermediate lawyer (3-5 years’ PQE) with a passion for technology, media and IP to join our market leading team.

The work you’ll do will be a mix of commercial and corporate, with a focus on technology, media and IP issues and projects for a range of clients from startups through to global corporates and government agencies. Our commercial practice offers the opportunity to work on emerging technologies, tech procurement and implementation, tech licensing and services, broadcast and communications arrangements, data privacy, biometrics, cyber-security, and consumer law advice. On the corporate side, you’ll be working on mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, employee share schemes, corporate structuring, shareholder arrangements, and joint ventures.

Given the breadth of the role, we expect you will be challenged with, and learn from, issues that you may not have encountered before, providing a great opportunity for growth and development.

About you

You will have built a solid foundation of legal skills in a corporate and / or commercial practice, with exposure to the types of issues we work on. You feel like now is the time to take the next step to build an exciting career in NZ, in a role that will benefit from your curiosity, commitment to delivering quality work to clients, ability to work through complex issues, relationship management and well-developed organisational skills.

With 3-5 years’ PQE under your belt, you are looking to develop your expertise through working on industry leading projects, really getting to understand our clients and learning from some of the best in the business.
