About the role

We are looking for a Site Human Resources Manager to join the team at our Ashburton site.

The Site HR Manager is a member of the senior leadership team for the Ashburton site and is primarily responsible to provide HR support, advice and administration to the business across the areas of recruitment, employee relations, talent management, payroll and general HR practice.

As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for :

Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including updating job descriptions, managing applications, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and liaising with NZ Immigration and WINZ on visa and work arrangements,

Provide advice to staff regarding their entitlements and obligations under various employment legislation and their employment agreements

Provide advice and guidance to leaders and employee relation matters, across a wide range of staff issues such as performance management, disciplinary process and staff retention

Various administrative functions such as maintaining organisational charts, preparing reports and maintaining personnel files to a high standard to ensure compliance with privacy legislation

For this role, you'll need

A degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field is desirable

Experience in a generalist HR or HR Administrator role

Good general knowledge of human resources management including relevant employment legislation

Excellent administrative, communication and relationship management skills
