About the role
Plumbing Tutor
Location : NZMA Auckland Trades Campus
Full-time | Fixed-term | On-site
This is a full-time fixed-term role from February to December 2026.
As a Plumbing Tutor at NZMA, you’ll guide learners through a practical, hands‑on pre‑apprenticeship programme preparing them for careers in plumbing, gas fitting, and drain laying. Working from our purpose‑built Trades campus, you’ll bring your industry knowledge to life through a mix of workshop demonstrations, classroom sessions, and real‑world projects.
You’ll guide students as they build confidence and develop essential skills and knowledge to succeed within the workforce. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic teaching environment while shaping the next generation of tradies.
Qualifications
About you : We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Plumber who takes pride in their work and enjoys sharing their knowledge with others. You can break down complex tasks into easy‑to‑understand steps, communicate clearly, and guide learners as they grow in confidence and capability. You value professionalism, enjoy collaborating with others, and are ready to bring your industry expertise into a teaching environment where it can have a meaningful impact.
