• Following an internal promotion, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Auckland-based team within a global insurance organisation. Partner with a wide range of brokering partners.

• Broad exposure to varying types of short-tail commercial underwriting, including property, motor, liability and contract works.
• Your new role
• We’re seeking an Underwriter to manage accounts across a broad range of brokering partners. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the commercial portfolio, including :
• Contribute to strategy, planning, and execution of policies and product plans to maintain portfolio balance.
• Underwrite standard and complex risk business in line with business plans and delegated authority.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Support growth through quotes, renewals, policy maintenance, problem-solving, and collaboration with intermediaries.
• Occasional travel to meet key broker partners.
• About you
• You’re an insurance professional with excellent stakeholder relationship skills. In addition you’ll have :
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
