Oyster Management Limited – Auckland, North Island
Oyster is a leading New Zealand commercial property and fund manager and is recognised as a market leader in sourcing and structuring property funds and capital raising. We also manage a range of office, industrial, large-format retail, and retail assets throughout New Zealand. At Oyster we are committed to Building a Brighter Future, and it is this vision that sits at the core of everything we do. Our Values are what guide our culture, our day‑to‑day interactions with our investors, tenants, contractors, each other and how we deliver on our vision – we are One Team, Leaders, Courageous and Ethical.
Job Scope
This is an exciting opportunity to join Oyster as a Facilities Manager. We’re looking for someone who’s early in their facilities or building‑services career and keen to grow into a senior role over time.
Working closely with our property managers and trusted suppliers, you’ll help maintain our buildings, support capital expenditure projects, and keep things running smoothly day‑to‑day. You’ll also participate in local and national procurement processes, helping us source the right contractors and service partners across our portfolio. Throughout all of this, you’ll help deliver great experiences for our tenants and strong outcomes for our investors.
Eligibility Criteria
A background in a trade—especially HVAC, electrical, or building services—would be a real advantage, as would experience in facilities management, commercial property, or project coordination. You don’t need to be an expert; you just need the right foundation and the drive to grow.
Experience with sustainability initiatives (e.g., NABERSNZ, Green Star) is helpful but not essential—we can support you to build this capability.
At Oyster, we place strong emphasis on our core competencies, which are the foundation of our high‑performing environment. These include critical thinking, adaptability, emotional intelligence, effective communication, impactful collaboration, digital proficiency, and strong financial acumen. We actively seek these qualities in our people, as they are essential to driving our success and shaping a high‑performing, future‑ready team.
