Job Description

Play a key role in helping to deliver strategic HR outcomes across the New Zealand and Pacific Islands region

Business partner with and influence a broad stakeholder group across corporate and frontline operational environments

Full-time permanent position based in Auckland, New Zealand (required to work across Auckland Airport and CBD office locations)

Senior Consultant, People

The Senior Consultant, People is a key business partner supporting a broad stakeholder group across diverse and exciting Services portfolio across New Zealand and Pacific Islands.

As a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with leaders to shape the workforce needed to deliver on strategic, commercial, and operational priorities.

You'll bring a deep understanding of the employee lifecycle and provide expert guidance across both corporate and frontline operational environments.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a broad range of strategic initiatives while also supporting day-to-day people activity.

You'll play a key role in embedding the Strategic People Plan, supporting leadership development, and driving cultural alignment across the Group.

What You'll Bring To The Role

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline

Relevant experience partnering with complex, fast-paced operational businesses

Demonstrated business partnering and coaching skills with the ability to develop effective leaders and teams

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Strong resilience and agility, with previous experience in the design and delivery of people programs in an operational environment

Proven ability to use analytical & pragmatic thinking to solve complex problems

Experience in an industrial relations landscape and proven ability to form constructive relationships with relevant stakeholders

Ability to deliver effective and efficient transactional HR activity across the employee life cycle, including experience with the Workday employee data management system

Experience in organisation design and development of cultural change programs desirable

The ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative and connected to a broader team

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business contexts

Aviation industry experience is highly regarded

Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required
