Join Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern as a New Graduate Midwife in a 12-month programme supporting diverse maternity care across hospital and community settings.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
- Participate in a 12-month Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) programme, working 32 hours per week (0.8FTE) with flexibility to consider 0.6FTE
- Gain experience in secondary and tertiary hospital environments, including antenatal, labour and birthing suite, and postnatal wards
- Work in primary maternity units and hubs in urban, semi-urban, rural, and remote settings
- Collaborate within caseload teams and integrated primary, secondary, and tertiary maternity services
- Receive support from Director of Midwifery, Midwife Managers, Educators, Clinical Coaches, and midwives
- Engage in a comprehensive and flexible orientation package
