About the Role – 8 Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Payroll & HR Advisor to join our team on a 8-month fixed term contract , covering maternity leave. Starting in February 2026 , this role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about both payroll accuracy and delivering great employee experiences. You’ll work across the full spectrum of HR, including payroll, onboarding, culture, and performance, while also contributing to exciting projects and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, deductions, and reporting to ensure accurate and compliant payroll for all employees
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, leave, and other HR-related matters
- Collaborate with the HR team to maintain accurate employee records and support HR initiatives, such as onboarding, offboarding, and performance management
- Oversee and contribute to initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, culture, performance, and people programs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll and HR processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining and automation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a payroll or HR administrator role, preferably within a large organisationStrong knowledge of payroll processing, including understanding of employment legislation, tax requirements, and deductionsExcellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with the ability to handle data with precisionProficient in using HR and payroll software, such as HRIS and payroll systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to employeesProactive and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independentlyRelevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Payroll, or a related field is preferredAbout us
