About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Finance & Administration Lead to join our growing team at NZ Pump & Energy Limited in Silverdale, Auckland. In this full‑time position, you will play a crucial hands‑on role in the company’s financial operations and provide general support to the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and month‑end processing.
Support the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision‑making.
Oversee the administration of the company, including managing office operations and assisting with HR and IT‑related tasks.
Liaise with external stakeholders, customers and suppliers as required.
Manage general office administration, including documentation, correspondence and record‑keeping.
Support branch managers and operational teams with documentation, scheduling and information flow.

What we’re looking for

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior finance or administration role, preferably within a small to medium‑sized organisation.

Strong technical accounting skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and compliance.

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making abilities.

Proficient in the use of financial software like Xero, InspHire and Microsoft Office suite.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.

A proactive and solutions‑oriented approach, with a keen eye for detail.
