As a Baker, you will prepare, bake and present a consistent range of quality breads, cakes and pastries to meet production schedules.

This role is ideal for anyone looking to build a bakery career in the best smelling department of the store.Responsibilities$

• Per HourFull Time – 40 hours, Friday – Tuesday 4 : 00 AM – 12 : 30 PMLocation : Rangiora EastPrepare, bake and present a consistent range of quality breads, cakes, and pastries to production schedules.Set up the bakery each day, including ingredient preparation, equipment checks, and oven management.Monitor product freshness and stock levels throughout shifts; rotate, replenish, and merchandise bakery displays.Uphold strict Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, including cleaning, sanitation, temperature logs and allergen controls.Provide friendly, efficient customer service, including product guidance and responding to special orders.Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets and promotional plans.Train, coach, and supervise bakery apprentices and team members as required.Manage waste and shrink through accurate batching, portioning and storage practices.Complete daily paperwork and reporting related to production, safety and inventory.Qualifications3 years of relevant baking experience or a qualified baker holding a relevant tertiary certificate in baking.A strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.The ability to work under pressure, work flexibly and to tight frames.BenefitsEveryday Rewards team card, providing discounts and bonus points for groceries and discounted online shopping delivery.Banking and insurance (health, life etc) discounts.Global and local career opportunities.Diversity, Equity & InclusionWe believe that diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are key to realising our purpose of better together for a better tomorrow.
