Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor to join our team. This role is central to strengthening our safety culture and ensuring we provide a safe, healthy and supportive environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors.

About the role :

As our HSW Advisor, you will :

• Partner closely with leaders across all business units to provide expert advice on the application of HSW systems, policies, legislation, and best practice.
• Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and practical corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements to Council’s HSW systems and processes to elevate safety performance.
• Support the delivery of key health, safety and wellbeing initiatives that embed a proactive, risk-based approach across the organisation.
