Temp Ready

Once you have met with your consultant and references and skill evaluations are completed you are temp ready. Job offered and accepted your consultant will email you the relevant forms to be completed prior to your starting.

• Temp Contract – signed and returned.
• Bank Account Number – given to your consultant.
• IR330 – with your IRD number filled in prior to payment of wages. If not completed, by law, we are required to deduct tax at the higher non-declaration rate of 45 cents on the dollar.
• Kiwi Saver Forms – A work-based savings incentive. If you hold a temporary work visa or student permit you are not eligible to join Kiwi Saver and you will need to fill in an opt-out form.

Wages and Timesheets

All timesheets must be in our office by 5 : 30pm each Friday. Please ensure these are signed by yourself and your manager. If your supervisor is unavailable, please send your timesheet through in an email with your supervisor cc’d in. If a timesheet is received late, it will not be processed until the following week.

Health and Safety

Looking after your health and safety while on assignment is important to us. You must follow all workplace safety rules and regulations. Please ensure that on each assignment, you receive from the client instructions on their health and safety policy and how to respond to an accident or emergency. Don’t hesitate to call if we can help with any health and safety questions or issues.

Annual Holiday Pay

Accrues at the rate of 8% of your earnings in accordance with the Holidays Act 1981. This amount will be deducted as you earn. The holiday pay you have accrued will be noted on your payslip. This amount is a gross figure. The PAYE will be deducted. To request your holiday pay, please find the request form on our website.

If you need time off for any reason, please advise your consultant in advance. If you are unable to be at work your consultant needs to be called before 8 : 30am.

Hi, I’m Rachel. I currently have a dual role at Quinn – managing our Temp division and also finding great people for the Insurance sector.

I strive to build trust by being approachable, honest and dedicated to making sure my Temps’ needs are met in the best possible way. When Temps work with me, they tend to remain with me and refer their friends too as I genuinely like people and people like me.

On the weekends, you can find me with my dog, Patch, at the beach. With a coffee at a local café to follow, then cheering on the Warriors or another sports game.

Hi, I’m Hannah, I support our consultant team through the full recruitment process.

What I like most about my job is that every day brings something new. It keeps everything fresh and challenging – in a good way!

On the weekends, you can find me walking my dog, Hugo. Followed by dining at local restaurants and spending time with friends and family.

Hi I’m Sasha – I manage the payroll, accounts payables and receivables.

I moved to London in my early 20’s without any accounts experience and got a temp role working in HR, allowing me to move into the accounts team and slowly work my way up from there. Taking that original temp role was the best career decision I made and ultimately gave me the job opportunities I have had over the years.

On the weekends, you can find mehanging out with my Family. If we aren’t attending a children’s birthday party, we are out and about trying to burn off as much energy as possible and catching up with friends.

Patch is our four-legged furry friend and possibly the worlds most chilled dog. We love it when he visits us in office. Patch is an adorable distraction. He loves sleeping, balls and food and is not shy giving his opinion. Especially if treats are on hand! He is a natural at sniffing out temp job opportunities too.

Welcome to Auckland

Explore the city of Sails while gaining valuable work experience.

You have come to the right place. Auckland is the best place in New Zealand to find temporary work, especially when you are on a working holiday.

Most of New Zealand’s big corporates have their Head Offices in Auckland so with a bigger concentration of companies based here, your chance of finding the perfect temp job is much higher.

We love Auckland and here are a few reasons why;

Auckland is consistently voted as one of the world’s most liveable cities so why wouldn’t you want to live and work here? Whatever you are looking for – culture, great food, beautiful beaches and great forests – Auckland has it all. Auckland is a beautiful place to live and you will find that there is always something to see or do. There are so many off-the-beaten-track places to choose from and in just a short drive you can find yourself with your own private beach, lake, or waterfall. Even just outside of Auckland, you can still find remote little pockets where you will feel like you are the first person to set foot there.

Ponsonby is our go to place for food, fashion art and shopping. There are over 100 bars, restaurants, and cafes to choose from and some world class fashion at affordable prices. If you are craving the best coffee in the world (according to a Quinnie) Allpress Espresso is a must and if you are into culture there are some great places to see local art.

We have many beaches close by. Rachels favourite is Muriwai Beach. It is a must visit if you want to see a beautiful, wild, unspoilt New Zealand beach and it is only a 45 minutes’ drive from the CBD. It is a black sand beach, popular with surfers, kite boarders and birdwatchers -there is a gannet colony close by. Patch loves the freedom of a Sunday afternoon run. The local Beach Café does great coffee, muffins, smoothies, and ice cream. Put a trip to Muriwai on your agenda.

We love our walks

We have dozens of walks available very close to the CBD. You can enjoy coastal trails like the North Shore Coastal Walk or the Rangitoto Summit walk if you are adventurous. The Auckland Waterfront Walk to St Heliers Bay via Mission Bay is super easy and you can stop off at local cafes for a coffee shot whenever you feel the need. Closer is the Downtown Pink Pathway loop a circular 8.5km walk that circumnavigates our CBD. As well as seeing our historic buildings, yes, we have retained a few, you will see some stunning views of our harbour.

Auckland is a waterfront paradise. Want to get close to whales and dolphins? You can experience our Hauraki Gulf Marine Park on several different day or half day cruises. Wildlife appeal? Tiritiri Matangi is a jewel of the Hauraki Gulf and brimming with bird life rarely seen on the mainland. This is a day trip that should be on your bucket list.

Known locally as the island of wine, Waiheke is a short ferry trip across the Waitemata Harbour. You will enjoy pristine beaches, coastal walks, world class wines and fantastic food. Best of all you can get around the island on a fully electric bus.

We love our adventure adrenalin opportunities

Looking for some real adventure? Why not do the 630-foot sky jump from our iconic Sky Tower. That done you can kayak to Rangitoto Island, walk our Harbour Bridge or maybe you need more exhilaration – a bungy jump for the Harbour Bridge will appeal.

We love our Auckland sunsets

Mother nature usually turns on amazing sunsets in Auckland. Pack a picnic and head off early evening to one of our many vantage spots – North Head, Bastion Point, Piha, Maungawhau / Mount Eden, or Takarunga / Mt Victoria on the North Shore. It is not difficult to find an instagrammable sunset hot spot relatively close to the CBD.
