Successful applicants will begin their role anytime from December 2024 onwards.
• As a new graduate in your Midwifery First Year of Practice, you will gain experience across a range of options including (but not exhaustive of) the following :
• Secondary and tertiary hospital environments - rotations through the antenatal, labour and birthing suite, and postnatal wards
• Primary maternity unit and hubs located in urban, semi- urban, rural and remote settings
• Experience working in a caseload team alongside our maternity settings
• Be part of an integrated system where primary, secondary and tertiary services network and provide a safe childbearing journey

• Our ideal candidate will have :
• graduated with a Bachelor of Midwifery in 2024 or 2025
• a passion and motivation for growth and knowledge to meet the needs of our whānau
• understand the value of communication skills to build a strong partnership with women / pregnant people and their whānau
• a commitment to work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, embracing each other's diversity and strength

• This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 - 30 April 2025), Registered (Core) Midwives Salary Scale, Step 2 ($82,642) per annum, pro-rata.
