Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | The opportunity

We are looking for experienced Electronics Engineering Lecturers who will provide our students with a high‑quality level of learning and be passionate about passing their knowledge and skills to enable them to succeed in their studies. We are looking for individuals who have the motivation to want to engage in growth of our programmes and to shape the development of new teaching and learning techniques. You will be developing and delivering the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering Level 6.

The role will be based at our Auckland CBD campus and is a permanent full‑time position over (40 hours) per week. Classes run during the day and evenings.

Key focus areas

• Planning and delivering courses using effective and engaging teaching methods and materials appropriate to the students and course content and aligned with the NZSE Teaching and Learning Plan
• Design and develop course content and assessments as per NZQA standards (via Canvas LMS and MS Teams)
• Ensuring all assessments, including tests, are completed as per the requirements of the course including marking, feedback, moderation, reassessment and rescheduling within required timeframe
• Industry stakeholder engagement, organising guest speakers and internships
• Participating and engaging in and working on research projects
• Face‑to‑face, hybrid and online delivery of classes
