About the Role

The Rangatahi Unit is a 12 bedded mental health acute unit that provides a service for adolescents who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. RRAIS is one of three adolescent inpatient services in New Zealand. It is a regional service for the lower North Island providing for adolescents from the Wellington region up to and including Gisborne.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills on a shift-by-shift basis. The focus is on delivering individualised, evidence based and multi-disciplinary interventions within an inpatient setting, that are holistic, recovery focused, culturally respectful and promote wellbeing and independence.

About you

We are seeking Registered nurses who are enthusiastic, innovative, passionate about youth and committed to working alongside youth and their whanau.

We want to hear from you if :

  • You feel you can make a difference
  • You have lots of energy and an ability to think on your feet
  • You want a job that provides variety, and no two days are the same.
  • You want to be paid to have fun whilst supporting our most vulnerable youth on their recovery journey
  • You are keen to learn from the young people and be part of a fantastic passionate team
