About the Position

Incumbent serves as Engineering Chief consulting with Commander, making final decisions and directing final actions relating to program and projects within the district.

Relocation / Recruitment incentives may be offered to highly qualified candidates.

Salary will vary based on duty location.

Duties

Plans, manages, and directs the work of the Engineering Division through two or more levels of subordinate supervisors who are assigned responsibility for major elements of the program.
Exercises full technical responsibility for comprehensive planning, engineering, and design for projects across all programs.
Exercises delegated personnel management authority to plan for future workload, request additional resources, and achieve optimum organizational efficiency and economy.
Counsels’ employees and resolves group grievances and serious employee complaints.
Executes overall planning, programming, and direction of assigned functions and responsibilities within the Engineering Division.
Develops long-range plans for total program efforts.

Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Position requires submission of Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

The position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
