As the Fabrication / Factory Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of 4 and bring your years of experience to driving the overall productivity and profitability of the Fabrication Department.

What you will be doing
Liaising with teams internally to understand customers needs and working with customers externally to provide detailed quotes that include accurate descriptions, timelines, costings, specs and anything else relevant.Taking responsibility for overall planning of labour, materials and equipment to meet deadlines.Keeping a close eye on workload and providing solutions if workload isn’t where it needs to be as well as managing staff levels to meet needs.Keeping site organised for maximum productivity.Leading process and product innovation within the factory.Monitoring performance of suppliers when it comes to quality, service and cost.Attending sales and installation meetings as well as external meetings when needed.Issuing purchase orders to suppliers.Evaluating overall processes and improving overall efficiencies.Ensuring standards are being met when it comes H&S and quality control.Updating systems with all jobs and providing monthly reports on performance of fabrication department.Skills required
5+ years fabrication experiencePrevious management experience within a production environmentAbility to draw and understand plans.Costing and quoting experience.Track record of managing projects from scope through to completion.Great at building relationships with external customers as well as internal stakeholders.Technical skills : reading / interpreting drawings, knowledge of construction materials, tools, and machinery.Ability to work under pressure and solve problems as they arise.Can use initiative to improve processes and increase efficiencies and productivity.Apply now to join a growing, locally owned business who really value their team.
