Your organisational skills and commitment to excellent customer service will make a real impact in this position. This full-time, permanent role offers you the chance to work closely with a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to making a difference in the sustainability space, within the primary sector.

What you'll do :

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of daily office activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing communications through multiple channels, coordinating travel logistics for staff members, maintaining essential office supplies, and providing vital administrative assistance to both leadership and colleagues. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities with care will be crucial in creating an environment where everyone can perform at their best. By embracing new challenges as they arise and contributing positively to team initiatives, you will help foster a workplace culture built on trust, cooperation, and shared purpose.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to queries received via phone and email, ensuring enquiries are directed to the appropriate staff members for timely action.
  • Coordinate and book travel arrangements for staff as required.
  • Manage the Chief Executive's diary by scheduling appointments, meetings, and events with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee office inventory and supplies to maintain smooth day-to-day operations, proactively identifying needs before they arise.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Chief Executive as well as the wider team, contributing to an organised and efficient workplace.

What you bring :

A background in farming or a degree associated with the primary sector or sustainability field is essential for this position as it enables you to understand the unique needs of the industry.

To excel as an Office Administrator in this role, you will bring proven experience from previous positions where your organisational talents have been put into practice. Your background may include time spent in customer service or administrative roles where clear communication was essential. You understand how important it is to maintain accurate records while juggling competing priorities. Your warm approach helps create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels supported. A genuine interest in sustainability or agriculture will help you connect with the mission-driven nature of this work.

  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles where your interpersonal skills have enabled you to build rapport quickly with diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-including Outlook, Word, and Excel-enabling you to produce high-quality documents, manage schedules effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • Strong administrative capabilities or an eagerness to learn new systems and develop these skills further within a supportive environment.
  • Outstanding written and written communication skills that allow you to interact confidently with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • A proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service by responding thoughtfully to queries and going above-and-beyond when needed.
  • A positive attitude with a readiness to pitch in wherever necessary-demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and genuine care for your teammates.
  • What sets this company apart :

This organisation stands out for its unwavering dedication to promoting environmentally responsible practices within New Zealand's primary sector.
