Titus Consulting Engineers is a Waikato and Bay of Plenty based engineering consultancy. We serve residential and commercial developers, local councils, and central government agencies, providing investigation, design, MSQA and project management services. Our expertise includes geotechnical investigations, foundation and structural design, three waters design, transportation engineering, and related contract and project management services.
Role and Responsibilities
Our civil engineering design team is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer (BEngTech, BEng, or equivalent) with 3–10 years’ experience, preferably in New Zealand, to join our Tauranga team. The role offers a healthy balance of office‑based design, on‑site testing, and project inspection work. Our projects range from small commercial and residential developments to medium‑sized subdivisions and transportation projects for local authorities.
- Design and Analysis : Prepare and review Civil Engineering detailed designs and drawings for residential, commercial, and transportation projects, including 3D finished surfaces, three waters and roading. 12d experience essential as modelling software. Bricscad / Autocad experience for drafting required.
- Contract management, administration and site coordination : In accordance with NZS3910, including managing claims, site meetings, variations, correspondence, and compliance documentation.
- Project planning and coordination : Assist with scheduling and coordination to ensure timely delivery and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- On‑site Inspection and Testing : Conduct site visits, inspections, and testing to gather data for design, verify construction quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Documenting and Reporting : Prepare technical documents, specifications, and supporting documents of design drawings for clients, councils, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaboration : Work closely with clients, contractors, council representatives, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.
- Contribute to design innovation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Problem‑solving : Develop smart, dynamic engineering solutions that cut through complexity.
- Strengthen fundamentals : Demonstrate strong knowledge of fundamental engineering first principles.
- Clear, reproducible work : Ability to produce clear, reproducible work that can be independently followed and repeated with consistent outcomes.
- Ownership : Own your work, take full responsibility for accuracy, delivery, and follow‑through.
