We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Physiotherapist to join our professional team in Canterbury.

We're a close team but we're never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Could you use your skills and experience to support the NHS to deliver great patient care?

This role is an important one as you'll be using your knowledge, experience and expertise to provide admin support to our hard-working frontline NHS teams.

We put patients first and we expect all of our colleagues to do the same, so although NHS experience isn't a requirement for this role you'll need to share our passion for delivering excellent patient care and keep that passion at the forefront of your professional activity at all times.

The challenges come thick and fast in this role but you'll know that your input is contributing to the excellent experience our patients and service users have every day.

Please note : at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB).

As a community Trust many of our roles require individuals to be able to drive to perform their duties.

As such you will be asked to confirm you have a full UK driving licence where driving is a requirement of the role to be able to proceed with your application.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy; Appropriate State registration with the Health Professions Council

Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy; Other relevant recent qualifications / post graduate course

Experience

Significant recent experience within the past at band 5 level or above; Evidence of relevant, broad-based clinical experience to include; Care of the older person, Neurology, Musculoskeletal; Experience of working with assistants / support workers; Evidence of multidisciplinary working

Clinical experience within community, working with patients with neurological conditions; Recent qualified NHS experience within last 2 years; Preceptor / clinical educator / managerial role

Knowledge

Understanding of clinical governance and its implication; Knowledge of recent government initiatives and their impact on practice; Evidence of relevant; Continuing Professional Development, within the last two years; Awareness of trust objectives

Member of relevant clinical interest groups; Comprehensive knowledge of service; Awareness of current trust initiatives

Skills and Abilities

Adaptable communication skills, demonstrating a wide range of skills used appropriately in complex situations; Well developed autonomous and team approach to prioritisation and organisational skills; Ability to work autonomously, independently and as part of a team; Accurate and legible note taking; Able to work in challenging environments; Problem solving; Competent IT skills - include uses of Microsoft Office, emails; Able to travel efficiently; Holds UK driving licence

Evidence of leadership skills; Able to train, appraise and supervise others; Research and Audit; Presentation skills

Personal Attributes

Ability to adapt to change; Logical / analytical approach; Openness to work with people from different backgrounds; Enthusiasm for role

Demonstrates evidence of good work life balance

Ability to Manage

Able to support the implementation of local and national agendas for health under the guidance of the senior Practitioner; Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, taking into account Trust policies and procedures; Ability to manage own time effectively.
