About the Role
As a clinical Cardiac Physiologist Trainee, you will be providing support to all aspects of the Cardiology and Respiratory team. By working alongside qualified Physiologists as part of our friendly team, you will be trained to perform and analyse a range of non‑invasive diagnostic tests, including ECGs, Holter and Event monitoring, Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring, Exercise ECGs, Lung Function Tests, and more. You will also have the chance to provide high quality healthcare as part of specialist multidisciplinary teams in a variety of different hospital settings, including the catheter labs and inpatient wards.
In addition to the practical skills you will learn through work‑based training, this post also offers the opportunity of academic progression through study towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology (PGDip). Successful applicants will also be able to work towards registrations required of a qualified Cardiac Physiologist.

About the Team / Service / Location
Our team of Cardiac Physiologists work closely with Specialist Nurses, Cardiac Sonographers and Respiratory staff to care for thousands of patients annually. We operate in all areas of the hospital, catering for inpatients, outpatients and emergency cases.
