Farm Manager

This is a senior role and the Manager should be able to demonstrate flexibility and an ability to think laterally including excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and an ability to work with and seek expertise as required to meet farm business objectives.

The Farm Manager will lead a team reporting to the owners and be expected to take responsibility for developing and implementing operational management systems that will meet challenging production and financial objectives.

The Manager will be able to demonstrate experience in team leadership, animal nutrition, intensive Farming, agronomy and animal genetics. A knowledge in farm information management systems and the ability to incorporate computer based technology into day to day farm management and reporting is essential.

Awareness of environmental and sustainability requirements when farming is critical as is understanding farming under a Resource management Land Use Consent.
