Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Heavy Diesel Mechanic We're looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established Hawke's Bay workshop that services a wide range of trucks, trailers, buses, forklifts, and light vehicles.

You'll be part of a tight-knit team of seven, working alongside experienced tradesmen and apprentices, keeping everything running smoothly across a busy transport fleet.

What you'll be doing : Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy diesel vehicles, trailers, and buses Diagnosing mechanical issues and completing general repairs (some transmission work too) Occasional servicing of light vehicles and forklifts Working collaboratively with a small, down-to-earth workshop crew Upskilling junior team members Hours :

• Hours per week Flexible Start Times Extras : Southern Cross subsidy, overtime at hourly rate + $10 Per Hour, on-call allowance Environment : Supportive manager who's hands-on and easy to get along with What we're looking for : 5+ years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (qualified or qualified-by-experience) Class 5 license Desirable (Class 1 considered) Strong work ethic and the ability to get along well with others Own basic hand tools Willingness to pass pre-employment checks (drug test, MOJ, references) This is a great long-term Heavy Diesel Mechanic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, no-fuss workshop culture with a solid crew that looks after each other!
