Hillcrest High School is looking for an experienced and qualified teacher to join their ELL department, teaching English at the senior level and English language (ELL). The successful candidate must be able to teach and assess against English Achievement standards . Furthermore, experience is essential in assessing using both the English Language (EL) unit standards and English for Academic purposes (EAP) standards . A strong understanding of the English language learning progressions and experience completing the ELLP forms for MOE funding are also required. Crucially, the teacher must be able to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student population, promoting English language growth, academic success, and a positive, supportive learning environment.

Applicants must be qualified and registered as an NZ teacher with a current practising certificate and must be residing in New Zealand . They are also required to be fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum . This is a part time position teaching 12 hours.
