The Opportunity

Our Client is recognized for its proactive advice and innovative use of cloud accounting, particularly Xero. As a Senior Compliance Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio where a significant portion of clients operate within the entertainment industry (e.g., film, production, artists, agencies). You will ensure all compliance requirements are met accurately while providing valuable, real‑time insights based on their digital accounting setups.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Compliance : Oversee and prepare complex financial statements, annual tax returns, and GST returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Specialist Advice : Provide tailored compliance advice, specifically navigating tax issues relevant to the entertainment sector (e.g., international withholding taxes, structuring for creative professionals).
• Technical Review : Review compliance work prepared by intermediate and junior team members, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Xero Mastery : Act as a firm champion for Xero, assisting clients with optimal setup, troubleshooting, and leveraging add‑ons for operational efficiency.
• Relationship Management : Maintain and strengthen client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on compliance matters.
