Junior Site Manager / Site Foreman

This main contractor has been in the commercial construction industry for decades, they are well established and have built up a reputation for delivering quality projects across several sectors, particularly within commercial, education, industrial and retail areas. They have maintained a basic yet successful formula for winning new business, leveraging off long established client relationships and networks offering repeat business and being smart and selective in the tender market. They build careers and recruit with the intent of providing challenge and incrementally building skill sets within a structured learning environment.

Due to continued project success, they are now looking to recruit a site manager at the junior to intermediate level who can slot into a team on one of their commercial projects and continue to grow a career in this organization. You will be exposed to structural works, large in situ walls and beams, fitout aspects including complex joinery and as well cladding systems / facades.

Under a SSM and a PM, you will given progressive responsibility for day to day management and co-ordination of the site, delivery of projects to schedules and programme, OSH, subcontractor management, and building relationships internally as well as with other consultants.

To be a success in this role, you will have at least 4 years site experience in the NZ construction market and understand site structure and deliverables. You must have initiative, strong leadership skills, be well organised and be responsive to change. In addition to a trade qualification, a tertiary qualification would be valued, esp. in construction management. Your thirst to progress your career in one of the industries more reputable commercial builders will be a key driver.

Salary on offer $100K - $110K + veh depending on your level of experience.
