In their Vegetable division the ability to manage and co‑coordinate the supply of fresh raw vegetables for processing, packaging and presentation to market takes close management working in conjunction with science, technology and strong sustainable relationships with contracted growers.
The role of Agronomy Manager effectively manages the total raw material Supply Chain, from working with vegetable seed producers, to contracting and working with Arable growers, to ensuring the resources, labour and logistics, align for harvesting on time and for delivery into the processing plant, ensuring both freshness and quality. As part of the Senior Management team reporting to the General Manager, you have responsibility and control across the above as well as environmental compliance and improvement, financial performance, and participation and implementation of strategy.
To take on this role, you will ideally have a relevant tertiary level qualification complimented by solid experience in team leadership. As part of this, your understanding of Arable farming at first principles level will underpin your ability to co‑ordinate across the Supply Chain. This in turn will need to be supported by the ability to develop sustainable constructive commercial relationships that produce mutual benefit.
