Job Description
Play a vital role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and reliable transport service for Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, private hospitals, and other customers. The Patient Transfer Service workload includes planned and urgent transfers for hospitals and transport for residential care, palliative care, bariatric and air ambulance patients. Hato Hone St John provides services to Te Whatu Ora Health NZ and is the largest provider of patient transfer services in New Zealand.
This is a casual position; casual employees are engaged on an as‑and‑when‑required basis with no expectation of guaranteed hours of work per week.
You’ll embark on a 3‑week full‑time, paid Accelerated Learning Program in Hamilton (accommodation provided), returning home each weekend. The program involves daytime learning and evening study. This unique opportunity is designed to set you up for long‑term success, building strong foundations and professional networks from day one.
The course will run from Monday 16th February to Thursday 5th March 2026.
