This role
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be working with the NZ Sales Team, reporting to the Sales Development Manager. You will be instrumental in shaping Employment Hero’s growth by driving a significant increase in qualified leads and opportunities, directly contributing to our mission of revolutionising workforce management. This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
Key focus areas
Generating new sales opportunities through lead follow‑up, outbound cold calls, and emails.Identifying and nurturing key decision‑makers within your assigned accounts to spark their interest in Employment Hero’s solutions.Collaborating with Account Executives to route promising opportunities for further development and closure.Maintaining and growing your prospect database, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified leads.Typical tasks
Source new sales opportunities through lead follow‑up, outbound cold calls and emails.Understand customer needs and requirements through discovery calls.Route promising opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives for further development and closure.Dive into account research, identifying key decision‑makers and sparking their interest.Maintain and grow your prospect database within your assigned segment.Collaborate on performing engaging online demos to prospects as needed.Who you are

1+ years of proven high‑volume outbound B2B sales experienceExperience with tools like Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo and OutreachTrack record of over‑achieving on targetsStrong phone presence and demonstrated resilience to be on the phone all dayExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong listening and presentation skillsAbility to multi‑task, prioritise and manage time effectivelyWhat we can offer
