People Experience Business Partner (12 month fixed term)

We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on People Experience Business Partner to join us for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with our Engineering Payments, and Payroll portfolio, which is a large, scaling organisation of 350+ people. How you’ll make an impact

You will work as a trusted partner to senior leaders, translating business goals into consistent and impactful people initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to provide both strategic and generalist support, helping to shape the organisational design and effectiveness of a critical engineering portfolio as it continues to scale.

What you'll do

• Partner on Strategy & Evolution : Collaborate with senior stakeholders to execute a strategic people plan that supports the portfolio's ongoing growth and organisational maturity.
• Provide Expert Coaching : Identify coaching opportunities and engage in honest, constructive conversations to support senior leaders in managing complex people matters and team dynamics.
• Deliver Generalist HR Support : Provide credible advice across the full spectrum of HR, including remuneration, performance management, retention, and legislative compliance, ensuring alignment with Xero’s global structure.
• Simplify Complexity : Analyse trends and navigate complex problems, communicating solutions and advice in a clear, logical, and helpful manner to technical stakeholders.
• Operational Execution : Balance strategic planning with "getting your hands dirty" to ensure recruitment priorities are met and new programs are successfully embedded within teams.
