Assembly & Logistics Manager

Metalform is growing again, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Assembly & Logistics Manager to lead our talented team. This is a pivotal role overseeing our assembly crews who bring a wide range of products to life — from lithium-powered E-Generators to industry-leading agricultural machinery.

About the Role

Assembly is the final step in our concept-to-reality process. We proudly design and manufacture our own products, while also providing contract manufacturing services for innovators, inventors, and designers.

As Assembly & Logistics Manager, you’ll coordinate the flow, organisation, and prioritisation of products through our busy factory. You’ll work closely with section Leading Hands, supporting and developing their teams’ skills, efficiency, and performance.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll oversee an expanding team of 25. This role requires close collaboration with our sales and production teams to plan workflow, allocate jobs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

You’ll take an active role in supporting our logistics function, helping coordinate both domestic and international freight movements. This includes assisting with export documentation but also domestic freight arrangements for some products, ensuring efficient communication from factory floor to customer delivery.

This position calls for strong people‑management skills, operational awareness, and the ability to develop systems and processes that drive continuous improvement. A focus on training, upskilling, and fostering a positive, high‑performance culture is key to success.

About You

You’ll bring proven experience in management within a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment. Analytical and solutions‑focused, you’re an active problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.

You know how to motivate and inspire diverse teams, remove roadblocks, and coordinate effectively to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Strong leadership and people‑management experience, with the ability to build and maintain high‑performing teams.
• Experience with ERP systems and solid computer literacy.
• Proven production‑planning skills and the ability to add value to operational systems.
• A calm, steady approach under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Manufacturing or assembly experience (preferred).

Hours : Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
