As part of our continued growth, we're excited to be opening a new dealership in Nelson, strengthening our support for customers across the Top of the South.

      This new site will work closely with our Blenheim dealership, and we're now recruiting several key roles to establish the foundation of our Nelson team — including a capable and proactive Dealership & Service Administrator.

      About the role

      We are seeking a Dealership & Service Administrator to provide high-level support to the team and help deliver exceptional customer service. Along with a broad range of administrative tasks, this role will support our Service, Sales, and Parts teams, and play an important part in setting up the systems and processes for our new Nelson dealership.

      You will liaise with customers to book jobs, assist with service-related queries, draft quotes, create purchase orders, and help to ensure timely supply of parts for jobs. You'll also manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily banking, and general dealership administration.

      Because this is a new site, you will need to work autonomously, use your initiative, and be confident creating structure, organising processes, and helping the dealership run smoothly as it grows.

      This is a part-time role (25 hours per week) and we can offer school-friendly hours or flexibility to suit the right candidate.

      What you'll be doing

    • Act as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, booking jobs, and providing updates.
    • Support the Service team with repair orders, quotes, warranty documentation, scheduling, and invoicing.
    • Raise purchase orders and support the Parts Manager to ensure timely parts supply for workshop jobs.
    • Process accounts payable and receivable, complete daily banking, reconciliations, and financial admin tasks.
    • Assist the Sales team with delivery documentation, finance paperwork, and customer communication.
    • Support dealership operations including mail / couriers, data entry, stock administration, and general office tasks.
    • Help establish administrative processes as the dealership grows, using initiative to solve problems and improve workflow.
    • About you

      We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator with drive, ambition, great communication skills, and a sense of humour. You will be proactive, professional, and confident working in a dynamic environment where teamwork is essential.

      You can demonstrate :

    • Experience in an administrative or customer service role
    • Experience in a service environment or similar industry (preferred but not essential)
    • Strong accounts payable and receivable experience
    • Confident computer skills across Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Accurate and timely data entry with strong attention to detail
    • Proven exceptional customer service skills
    • The ability to work independently and use initiative
