Reporting to theRegion Manager, this role is vital in delivering high-quality service and support acrossGPS, Total Station, Machine Control, andSoftware solutions.You'll work closely with a wide range of clients, often on-site, to troubleshoot, install, and train users on our systems.
Regular travel is a key part of this role, as you'll be representing Aptella in the field and contributing directly to our clients' success.We welcome individuals from all walks of life who are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and providing a high standard of service in a hands-on, customer-facing role.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver in-field support for Geospatial and Machine Control products, including installation, calibration, and troubleshootingCarry out technical installs—wiring, cabling, sensor setup, hardware mounting, and hydraulic system interfacingDiagnose and resolve electrical, communication, and system integration issues both remotely and in personInterpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manualsProvide responsive technical phone support for electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsCollaborate with Field Services colleagues and provide mentoring when neededLiaise with clients on delivery, commissioning, and operational handover of systemsFacilitate structured training sessions for end-users on maintenance and troubleshootingUphold safety protocols and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in line with standardsAbout You : We value the unique skills and experiences each individual brings.
For success in this role, you will ideally bring : A qualification in Auto Electrical, Heavy Diesel Mechanics, or a related field (highly regarded)Hands-on experience with electronic systems, GPS technology, sensors, and telemetry devicesComfort working independently in diverse environments, including remote or time-sensitive situationsFamiliarity with surveying practices, software, and data preparationA strong customer-service orientation and clear communication skillsAttention to detail, reliability, and a proactive problem-solving mindsetConfidence with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn internal systemsA collaborative, respectful attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleaguesA high level of professionalism and adaptabilityWe encourage applications from people of all genders, abilities, cultural backgrounds, and identities.
